I-5 Guardrail Repairs, Lane Closures Planned

🔊 Listen · narrated by Aiden

Starting Monday, Sept. 21, the right lane of southbound I-5 near milepost 88 south of Grand Mound will close for guardrail repairs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., according to WSDOT. The closure affects a 6-mile stretch from Centralia–Chehalis.

Two other projects begin this week: A paving project on I-5 between Maytown Rd and Old Hwy 99 will cause overnight double-lane closures Monday through Friday until October. On SR 6, a water main replacement project near Clinton Road will require single-lane traffic between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. weekdays from Sept. 14 through Oct. 12. The Boistfort Valley Water Corporation is handling the water main work.
