I-5 lane closures, US 12 bridge work to start this weekend

Northbound I-5 will have a left lane closure from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, to Sunday, Aug. 16, between Samish Way and Iowa Street. The Iowa Street on-ramp to northbound I-5 will close from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 15.

US 12 over I-5 will have a single-lane closure nightly from 7:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 10, to 6 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 20. Drivers must follow a signed detour using northbound I-5 to Exit 71 for SR 508, then southbound back to US 12.

WSDOT will close both directions of SR 169 starting Aug. 17 for 35 days to remove a fish barrier near Jones Lake. Local access remains open. A separate detour will guide vehicles around the closure.
