Starting Monday, July 27, and continuing through Friday, July 31, several Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) routes will have lane closures or traffic alternation for construction projects.
WSDOT will close up to two lanes of southbound I-405 between mileposts 18. 11 and 16. 45 nightly from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m. Southbound SR 527 will have its center lane closed nightly from 9 p.m. to midnight Monday through Thursday. State Route 203 will have one lane closed nightly from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. for paving, with flaggers directing traffic. State Route 96 will alternate traffic daily from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. for utility work. State Route 20 will also alternate traffic daily from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday. US 2 will alternate traffic nightly from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m. for utility work, with the shoulder also closed. I-5 near Maytown Road will have overnight lane and ramp closures, with a reduced speed limit from 70 mph to 55 mph. The closures are scheduled to end on July 31 for most projects, with I-5 work extending to August 8. Drivers are advised to plan for delays and check WSDOT’s website for real-time updates.
