WSDOT Work Zones Impact Centralia–Chehalis Roads

🔊 Listen · narrated by Aiden

Starting Monday, Aug. 17, both directions of SR 169 will close between Southeast 332nd Street and Plass Road near Jones Lake for 35 days to remove a fish barrier. Local access remains open, and detours are signed for passenger and freight vehicles.

WSDOT also announced ongoing closures: US 2 west of Cashmere will have single-lane closures Mondays through Thursdays until mid-to-late September; US 12 over I-5 will close nightly until Aug. 20; and I-5 southbound will have lane closures from Aug. 16 to 18. A fish passage project on SR 9 will close both directions until Aug. 19.

The closures are part of WSDOT's ongoing infrastructure maintenance and fish passage projects. Travelers should expect delays and follow detour signs. All closures and expected end dates are listed in WSDOT's public construction updates.
